Frequently asked questions

Which College Kickstart plan is right for me?

Start with Standard if you have a straightforward list of 12 or fewer schools and want core list analysis and early admission guidance. Upgrade to Plus if you're applying to schools with competitive departments or want application requirement tracking. Choose Premium if affordability and financial aid are important factors in your decision.

Do I need to sign up if my school counselor uses College Kickstart?

No. If your high school counselor or independent consultant uses College Kickstart, they will send you an email invite. You do not need to purchase a separate plan.

What is the difference between Standard and Plus?

The key upgrade from Standard to Plus is access to department-level admission data covering 600+ departments across 80+ popular institutions, resident and non-resident admission rates for public universities, and application requirement tracking - critical if you're applying to selective programs or large public universities.

What does the Premium plan add over Plus?

Premium adds need-based affordability ratings, merit-based 5-star ratings, and merit consideration deadlines where available, so affordability is part of the plan from the beginning.

How long does a plan last?

All plans cover the full college application season from January 1 through December 31, 2026.
